Earlier this year, Aventus Energy was contracted by BORR Drilling to design and manufacture a 35Te SWL BOP (Blowout Preventer) Spreader Beam for the Vali, a KFELS Super B Class jack-up rig, located offshore near Malta. The beam would be used during critical BOP movements.

The design required precise engineering to ensure the beam could safely lift and position the heavy BOP stack during operations. Fabricated from high-strength steel, the beam was built to meet stringent load-bearing requirements, with reinforced lifting points to ensure secure attachment.

Rigorous load testing was conducted to validate the beam’s durability under extreme offshore conditions, enhancing both the safety and efficiency of operations.
