Aventus Energy Makes Key Snr Appt. & Embarks on Recruitment Drive to Support Expansion of Capabilities & Aberdeen Move
Aventus Energy has appointed a new Business Director as it prepares to add 30 new personnel to the team as part of an aggressive growth strategy that will see it expand its capabilities and enter the Aberdeen market.
Joining Aventus Energy in the newly created role of Business Director is Donny Marshall. With varied experience in engineering, fabrication and construction, Marshall previously held senior roles at TEXO Group (Divisional Director, Engineering & Fabrication), Houlder Ltd. (Project Manager) and Transocean (Senior Project Engineer).
Speaking about the key appointment, Aventus Energy Managing Director, Ross Thomson, said: “We’re delighted to bring in someone of Donny’s experience and calibre in what will be a key role in the next stage of our expansion. As Business Director, Donny will drive us forward, improving operational efficiencies, and help us expand our Aberdeen operations and service capabilities.”
Recruitment drive & Aberdeen expansion
Marshall’s appointment is the first of a mooted up to 30 key personnel hires expected in the next 8 -10 months across all areas of the business. Currently focused on Renewables and Oil & Gas sectors, going forward Aventus Energy will expand its capabilities to bring in all areas of the energy sector and the full lifecycle of projects.

Following a period of impressive growth, the company is embarking on the next phase of its growth strategy seeing us deliver engineering & Design, fabrication, construction installation, inspection, repair and maintenance solutions covering the full lifecycle of energy projects. A key part of this strategy is establishing a larger administrative and operational presence in Aberdeen.”
In October, Aventus Energy, which is based at Invergordon Service Base on the Cromarty Firth, signed a rolling lease for office space at neospace on Riverside Drive in Aberdeen. The company is also currently in the advanced stages of a search for permanent office, warehouse and fabrication facilities to meet the demands of the energy sector. Marshall will initially be based at the Aberdeen office alongside Lindsay Bruce, General Manager, and Kenny Simpson, a new Commercial team hire.
